Federico Conforti is an Italian editor based in Los Angeles. He was co-editor of the acclaimed Italian film They Call Me Jeeg, which won seven “David di Donatello” awards (Italian Academy Awards) in 2016, including Best Editing. He is a member of the European Film Academy and Motion Picture Editors Guild (IATSE Local 700).
After graduating from the University of Pisa with a degree in Cinema, Music and Theater, Federico began his career as an intern at Magui Studios in Rome. Under the expert tutelage of Andrea Maguolo, he trained as an Assistant Editor and learned Avid Media Composer inside and out. He began to shift into an Editor role by taking on freelance projects of his own, cutting his teeth on independent short films and music videos. Recent projects include The Disunited States of America, a documentary directed by Luis Prieto; Dimension 404, a new sci-fi series for Hulu; season two of Ultimate Beastmaster for Netflix; and The Oath, a new drama series for Sony Crackle.
